Liana Syrogiannouli is from Ioannina, Greece and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Economics in Ioannina. Her interest in statistics and its applications led her to a postgraduate program in the University of Essex, UK, where she completed an MSc. She returned to Greece, where she worked in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the Department of Citizen Service Centres. Two years later, she decided to return to research and enrolled in a PhD program. In 2015, she moved to Switzerland where she began her work at the Institute of Primary Health Care (BIHAM) (www.biham.unibe.ch) at the University of Bern.
