Team

Dr. Aubert, MD, MSc, is a primary care physician and clinical researcher. Her particular interests are multimorbidity, chronic diseases, cardiovascular diseases, polypharmacy, deprescribing, and appropriateness of care. After graduating from the University of Lausanne, Dr. Aubert began her career at the Department of Diabetology of Pitié-Salpêtrière University Hospital in Paris and was awarded her doctorate in Medicine in 2013. Parallel to her research activities, she began her clinical training in general internal medicine at Fribourg Cantonal Hospital and Bern University Hospital and earned her FMH degree in 2018. She has worked as a chief resident at the department of general internal medicine of Bern University Hospital since 2017. She further developed her research skills by attending courses, including one on causal inference taught by Prof. Hernán at Erasmus MC Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences in Rotterdam. In 2017, she obtained 2 peer-reviewed grants (Swiss General Internal Medicine Foundation and Clinical Trials Unit of Bern University) for a large multinational project on multimorbidity. Uspported by a Swiss National Foundation postdoctoral fellowship for her project “Deintensification of antihypertensive treatment in the elderly: Estimating the effect on the risk of fall injuries, syncope and cardiovascular events”, she conducted research on appropriateness of care at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, supervised by Prof. Eve Kerr, Prof. Timothy Hofer, and Prof. Lillian Min, between 2019 and 2021, and achieved a Master of Science in Health and Healthcare Research in 2021. She is sharing her time between clinical activities at the Department of General Internal Medicine of Bern University Hospital, research, and teaching as a Dozentin for the Master’s of Pharmacy at Bern University since 2021.
