Dr Baris Gencer, MD, MPH is a cardiologist and a clinical researcher with a main interest in cardiovascular prevention. He has graduated from the university of Lausanne (UNIL) in 2007 and then completed FMH specializations in general internal medicine and in cardiology at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) and Geneva University Hospitals (HUG). He has performed a 3-year postdoctorate research fellowship (2018-2021) in the TIMI Study Group (Harvard Medical School), a reference center in the conduct of large clinical trials in CV medicine and pharmacotherapy and obtained a Master in Public Health (MPH) in clinical effectiveness at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston.
In 2021, he joined as Deputy Director the Institute of Primary Health Care (BIHAM) at the University of Bern and continues in parallel his clinical activities in general cardiology at the HUG.
